About Post Office Llanwrda Action Group...

The Action Group represents people of 9 rural villages in Carmarthenshire who have no other Post Office for 17 miles.  Post Office Llanwrda serves a population of 1,500 people. Royal Mail/Post Office Ltd state the population is 274.

THE BAD NEWS

Post Office Ltd has decided that it wants to close our Post Office.

Leaflets explaining the changes are available in the Post Office Llanwrda. The Post Office will close and we will either have to travel to Llangadog/ Lllandovery or use the mobile Post Office van which will park near the school entrance & pub from 3.30 pm until 5 pm. This service will only be available for 8 hours a week. Without the Post Office the shop with its current usage cannot continue.

THE GOOD NEWS

There has to be a six week consultation with the public – this ends on 14th July. This means that We have a Real Chance to keep our Post Office and We Are Doing it Right Now!
